Indian Head Massage
Experience the timeless art of relaxation, with Indian Head Massage, an ancient Ayurvedic practice that focuses on releasing tension and restoring balance to your mind and body. This therapeutic treatment targets the upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp, and face—areas where stress and tension often accumulate. Through a combination of soothing strokes, kneading, and gentle pressure-point techniques, Terri works to relieve tightness, stimulate blood flow, and encourage deep relaxation. This session is performed with oil, with the option of non-scented oil for those with sensitivities.
Indian Head Massage provides exceptional stress relief, promotes mental clarity, alleviates pain in the neck and shoulders, and helps improve circulation to the scalp, supporting healthy hair growth. It also enhances sleep quality, allowing you to enjoy a more restful night. If you seek relief from stress, pain, or simply a rejuvenating moment of relaxation, Indian Head Massage offers a perfect solution for modern-day wellness.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu is an ancient holistic form of bodywork originating in Japan, and shares influence with
Traditional Chinese Medicine. Using fingers, knuckles, elbows, palpations and acupressure, this
bodywork is often used to assist the movement of energy "qi" throughout the body. This is a
massage that aims to help restore, energize or stabilize energy channels. These Shiatsu
techniques provide a specific and firm pressure.
This massage involves no oil, and individuals should wear loose, comfy clothing (light stretching
is often involved during sessions). Shiatsu sessions will typically address the full body, including
the head, face, abdomen and feet. Please notify your practitioner if an individual wishes to avoid
a certain area. Please indicate in booking notes type of session: a) traditional - mat on floor or b) massage table.
This practice benefits relaxation, energy blockages, easing anxiety, insomnia, joint and muscle
pains, muscle tension, fatigue, acute and chronic aches and pains, arthritis, sinusitis, hay fever,
sciatica, and poor posture.
Although Shiatsu is low-risk, individuals with the listed conditions may need to consult their
doctor before receiving any massage treatment.
